How our process works:
Our adoptions are on a first-come, first-served appointment basis, as long as the home is the right fit. The dogs posted below are currently available for adoption or will become available within the week. You can view their adoption date by reading their bio through their Petfinder Profile by clicking on their photo below. We always recommend booking the earliest time available for the best chance at meeting your top choices. We do not allow holds, reservations, or deposits. You can view more about our upcoming dogs that aren’t posted to the website yet by following our Instagram and Facebook pages.
Once you view our available dogs and select a few you would like to meet, schedule an appointment here. Your adoption appointment is one hour long and includes time with our matchmaking team. You’ll be able to meet up to three dogs, ask questions, and get honest insight.
If you find your perfect match, you’ll complete the adoption process and bring home your pup during your appointment time. You can check out our Canine Corner Shop, located in our lobby, for discounted supplies to get everything you need before heading home!
We’re happy to work with out-of-state adopters, but the same process applies and will need to be completed in person; dogs are not held, so having a flexible travel plan is important.
Adoption fees vary by dog and are listed on their profile. These fees are considered a donation and directly fund medical care, daily support, and allow us to continue saving more mamas + pups in need.

At ATR, we’re proud to be a YES rescue!
We believe there’s a right dog for almost every home, and a right home for every dog. The key is thoughtful, responsible matchmaking.
Every dog in our care is carefully evaluated by our behavior team after weeks of observation. We get to know their personality, energy level, preferences, and what helps them feel safe and thrive. From there, we set individualized home recommendations for each dog. These may include things like the type of home (apartment vs. house), age of household members, or whether they’d do best with or without other pets.
We take pride in truly knowing our dogs and advocating for them. Our goal is to be the bridge between what a dog needs and what an adopter can provide. When you schedule an adoption appointment, our team reviews your application and thoughtfully guides you toward dogs that could be a great fit. During your appointment, we walk you through detailed insights from staff notes and foster report cards, answer your questions honestly, and provide educational resources so you feel confident bringing your new family member home.
Whether you’re a first-time dog owner or have had dogs for years, we’re here to support and educate every step of the way, and we don’t disappear after adoption!
In 2025 alone, we celebrated 572 successful placements through this process. Because when we match with purpose, we create lasting, happy homes for both dogs and their people.

We are open Monday-Friday 11am-8pm and weekends from 8:00am-8:00pm
Please note the following:
- All of our adoptable pets have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before heading to their forever homes.
- Adopters must be 18 or older.
- Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis as long as the home is the right fit and all adoption requirements are met!
