Fostering: Giving Homeless Pups Some Much Needed TLC

In this business we may find our hearts breaking, our tears streaming, our bellies aching from laughter and our eyes round with wonder – all in a day’s work. Fostering is a large part of Almost There Rescue’s program and often it’s the last step before our furbabies go on to their forever homes. When you foster, you’ll not only enjoy our pups, but you’ll be increasing their adoptability by socializing them further, and you’ll be opening up kennel space so ATR can take in even more furry friends in need.

When you foster, Almost There Rescue provides you with all you will need for a successful experience. We will send you home with supplies and food, make sure you are properly trained and up to speed on the foster pup you are taking home, provide any necessary medical, and be there for you to support you and answer any questions you may have every step of the way!

What types of dogs need fostering?

Each foster assignment is unique, but here is a list of our most common foster assignments:

  • Puppies
